I have a returning problem... Whenever I wash my hair or wash my dishes, my mani peels...
I work at a hotel and it involves dishwashing... and I cant use gloves, it would take too much time to take them on and off...
Do any of you have a good tip on how to keep the mani through a workday for me? :-s
And also, I'm sorry for being away for such a long time. I'm in love :-D And I keep forgetting to take pics of my hands :-)
But I'll be back!
Happy 2021!

Maybe try using a different top coat? I have heard Seche Vite (i think its called is reallly good) havent tried it my self though :)
Oh, cool! I just ordered that one :-D Hope it is better! Now I use Dior, and it dries really fast :-D But maybe it makes the polish brittle?
:-)
Quick dry topcoats tend to make the mani peel more easily.
Also - when I know I'm gonna be doing a lot of stuff w/ my hands I tend to wear a polish that stays on like iron. Like a glitter for example.
thanks for the tips!
:) I'm actually wearing glitter today, and I'm testing a new top coat from sally hansen. workday tomorrow. I'm exited to see if my mani survives :)
Glad your back. I did read on a blog to not let your polish dry completely before using Seche Vite. Otherwise it will just peel everything off. The polish has to still be wet so that the Seche bonds with it and form a bond. I have no idea how wet or sorta wet it should be. Hope that helps. Wearing glitter is a good idea though.
Ye i actually heard that to.. Else it would like shrink ;) sry about not mentioning that, but i had forgotten :)
Aha! I´ll keep it in mind when my seche arrives :-)
Maybe you can get some advice from A Stroke of Color - she is a swimmer and also likes doing mani's. She might have a few tips to 'waterproof' your handiwork.
Thank you avroys :-)
My experiment didn't work out too well.. The mani held up better than usual, but not good enough..
A new post about that tomorrow :-)
